  1. Ok my Johanan – I think for now, I am understanding. I do appreciate all the thought and emotional debating you are dealing with. I have issue at times with being conflicted in how I wrote something, and now how I wish I had written it instead.
I respect for the sake of yourself and your readers that you are taking smaller steps and giving what you commit to paper or screen, more consideration. It was interesting to read the requirements for submitting work to Marcher Lord Press. And I understand more perfectly the relationship of Chris Alan and Alain to Fiona and Autumn in their transformations if you will. Given the spiritual directives, that makes sense. I think this journaling about your mental directions is interesting and is helpful.
    See you in the universe

  2. “Any conflicts of interest or continuity between Realmwalkers and my continuing work will have to be resolved later, in another way, and if I have the time.”

This worries me some, and I am not laughing now, John. I will try to keep an open mind as I want to support all your efforts to bring your next book into fruition. Is Marsher Lord Press ready to market your book also? How much will they do for you? How much will you have to do for them? I hope you check on them about that. I hope you know exactly what you are getting into. I am glad to hear Jason is helping you out now. Good! A new collaboration? Fine! =) A good idea!

Oh wait. Here it is under MLP’s Publishing Model:

Second, Marcher Lord Press titles are not expected to find their way to bookstore shelves. The primary sales channel will be the Internet. A Marcher Lord Press author may never see his or her novel at the local bookstore or Wal-Mart.

Third, Marcher Lord Press will do very little in terms of marketing the novels we publish. There will be no multi-city book tours or TV appearances or advertisements in Publisher’s Weekly. (Authors may line up some of these independently, however, and MLP will certainly support those efforts.)

Not unlike what we have now under Createspace. We even have a Createspace eStore and Amazon.com to sell our book with. How many books have we sold from those two Internet sites? So far, only one, from one of my friends who couldn’t use Paypal. I am not trying to discourage you, just want you to consider carefully what will be required of you whether you use Createspace, Amazon or MLP.

Your health must come first. So please take care of yourself and do what you can. Write because you love it and because you have more stories that need to be told. If you need a clean break from the Realmwalkers story, setting your writings in the far distance future was a good idea. I see no reason why you can’t do this for the distant past as well, before the time of Realmwalkers. Realmwalkers doesn’t need to be part of a trilogy or saga, but remember your promise about Hilo. ;P

I wish the best, my friend and look forward to reading more of your stories.
